Senator Al Franken Spearheads Investigation into Carrier IQ Snoop Software

Minnesota Senator Al Franken head of the Senate's privacy panel is spearheading the investigation into Carrier IQ. Carrier IQ has potentially violated multiple federal statutes. The Senator is asking questions and is holding AT&T, Sprint, HTC and Samsung accountable to explain exactly what data they retrieved using the snoop software. They have been given until December 14, to respond. There is no penalty for not responding by this date, however the companies are probably very concerned with the possibility of multiple civil law suits, accusing them of violating laws like the Federal Wiretap Act and the Federal Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. It is very common that companies do however respond to requests of this type. ~ NML

US Undercover Agents Launder and Smuggle Money For Mexican Cartels

Undercover US anti drug agents, mostly US DEA have smuggled and laundered millions of dollars for Mexican drug cartels, in an effort to find out how they move their money, root out their leaders, and find out where they keep their assets, reports the New York Times Sunday paper. DEA officials declined to discuss the details of the operations, citing concerns of compromising their investigations. Critics claim these operations violate the law, and are turning these agencies into criminals themselves.

“My rule was that if we are going to launder money, we better show results. Otherwise, the D.E.A. could wind up being the largest money launderer in the business, and that money results in violence and deaths.”

Since 2006, when the government of Mexico decided to launch military action against these cartels, some 45,000 people have been killed. The cartels have terrorized border towns as they battle over lucrative smuggling routes.

US agents have deposited proceeds in accounts designated by drug traffickers, or into shell accounts set up by agents. As undercover agents launder drug money, the agency often allows cartels to continue their operations over months or even years before making seizures or arrests,  said the New York Times Sunday paper.

Michael Vigil, a former senior official, working for a private contracting company named Mission Essential Personnel, was quoted by the paper saying: "We tried to make sure there was always close supervision of these operations so that we were accomplishing our objectives, and agents weren’t laundering money for the sake of laundering money."

New Rochelle Man Arrested for Prescription Steroids

Nicholas Gary, a New Rochelle man was arrested for possession of prescription drugs, and prescription steroids. He was pulled over on November 25 when Harrison Police found he was driving a vehicle that belonged to a driver with a suspended license. Police reports say that after searching the car, there were several prescription drugs found.

Gary was placed under arrest for driving on a suspended license, a misdemeanor, and also for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree. In the car police seized a vial of testosterone, a spray bottle of a substance labeled "testosterone homeopathic organotherapy", a plastic bag containing sample boxes of zyprexa and unopened syringes. Gary told Harrison Police a doctor at St. Vincent's Hospital gave him free samples of drugs to treat his bipolar disorder, as he did not have medical insurance. It is unclear weather this was looked into by Harrison Police.

Police withheld the Zyprexa, and the syringes and released Gary on $200.00 bail. Ordered to return to court on November 29.

T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint Recording our Conversations???

First the news broke that Android applications were snooping on users and sending the snooped information to a third party called Carrier IQ. Now in a fit of honesty, three major phone manufacturers have admitted to using the not so honest applications in our phones.Carrier IQ is trying to deny any wrong doing over the spying.

The Phone manufacturers have also been very hush hush on how exactly they will be using the stolen information.

AT&T has confirmed using the software, but only for legitimate services and quality related purposes. Mark Siegel, executive director of media relations at AT&T, says "We're really not going to offer more detail than what's in the statement." So in turn their not telling us if Carrier IQ is in all of their hand sets or not.

I have heard, but not been able to confirm that Carrier IQ is in everything IPhone related up to but not including IOS 5. I suggest you upgrade your phone ASAP. Apple is also being a little hush hush on which products are using Carrier IQ. Here is what apple says about the snoop software: “We stopped supporting Carrier IQ with 5 in most of our products and will remove it completely in a future software update. With any diagnostic data sent to Apple, customers must actively opt-in to share this information, and if they do, the data is sent in an anonymous and encrypted form and does not include any personal information. We never recorded keystrokes, messages or any other personal information for diagnostic data and have no plans to ever do so.”

T-Mobile is admitting to using Carrier IQ as a diagnostic tool similar to the way Sprint is using the application. Here is what a T-Mobile Spokesperson has to say: "T-Mobile does not use this diagnostic tool to obtain the content of text, email or voice messages, or the specific destinations of a customers' internet activity, nor is the tool used for marketing purposes." Personally I have a hard time believing they don't but then again who am I?

Sprint is also admitting to using the snoop app, but also claiming it is only for legitimate services. "I am concerned what the definition of legit is to these corporate snoops", although Sprint is a little more willing to discuss things than AT&T. spokeswoman Stephanie Vinge-Walsh said Sprint uses Carrier IQ's data to work out handset performance and to identify problems sooner: "We collect enough information to understand the customer experience with devices on our network and how to address any connection problems, but we do not and cannot look at the contents of messages, photos, videos, etc., using this tool.... The information collected is not sold and we don't provide a direct feed of this data to anyone outside of Sprint."

The explanations that these corporations are giving is not very encouraging to me. I think it opens up a can of worms just because the information has been collected. In an instance where one of these companies is subpoenaed by law enforcement, private conversations will more than likely be given up. Are we living in a police state in the USA today? THis whole thing is very unsettling to me. ~ NML

Under Ground Czech Steroid Lab Busted

Czech Police bust ring producing counterfeit anabolic steroids and other hormone-based drugs for the sports and other markets
Chris Johnstone | 26.07.2011

Czech Police said Tuesday that that they bust a ring composed of ex-sportsmen, body builders, fitness trainers and organizers of competitions in the sector which produced and sold counterfeit anabolic steroids and other hormone-based drugs.

The special unit for combating organized crime (ÚOOZ) said eight Czechs and three Slovaks were arrested after a surveillance operation started in 2010 of their secretive production site in the eastern Zlín region. The action was prepared in cooperation witht the National Anti-Drug Center (NPC).

The tablets, promising success in the conventional sporting and sexual arenas, were sold not just to sportsmen but to people suffering from specific illnesses such as liver and kidney problems and erectile disfunction, the  police said in a statement.

At the factory site, which was protected by sophisticated security equipment, police found hundreds of thousands of tablets. Around 24 kilograms of a blue tablet “for men” — no doubt a Viagra rip off — was discovered on site, for example. Cash totaling around Kč 500,000 was also found at the factory.
The drugs were distributed around the Czech Republic, Slovakia and other EU countries, police added.
Three of the eleven have been detained in custody with the others released on bail. Charges include production and distribution of hormone affecting substances, flouting protected copyright and brand protection, illegal commerce and illegal production and distribution of psychotropic drugs and preparations.
Members of the group could face sentences of between five and 12 years in prison if found guilty of their charges.

Bodybuilding Boards Being Hacked?

Well I can assure they are not being hacked, as far as hacking goes, but someone is somehow retrieving passwords from the staff of these boards. The most recent boards to be taken advantage of are AnabolicBoard, SteroidVIPBoard, United-Muscle, IronLifter, BrotherhoodoPain. This so called hacktivist as "Anthony Roberts" wants to call him has taken down most of the forum on BoP and AnabolicBoard, acheiving nothing more than cyber vandalism. Anthony Connors Roberts who has done nothing more than sell out this community, seems to be having a little fun and is supporting these vandals on his site. He is going as far as publishing lies about the boards that were at the forefront of the initial vandalism. Personally if I was ACR, I would have interviewed the staff of these boards before just publishing 2nd hand information.

AnabolicBoard, SteroidVIPBoard, United-Muscle, IronLifter, BrotherhoodoPain, have all been recently hit. The damage done was minimal for some and worse for a few others. We as a community need to get to the bottom of this. These are our homes and the owners and staff of these boards put way too much time and effort into these boards to allow this to happen. They will not continue to keep these boards up and running just so someone with minimal skills can take them down again.

I have heard rumors of who is thought to be behind these attacks. The problem is, there is no real proof as of yet, to go public with detailed information. One thing I will release, is this low level vandal is from San Diego CA. Hit me up at

Thoughts Relating to Treasure Coast Pharmacy Bust

A few days after the TCP bust, and I cant stop thinking how many big names this is possibly going to reveal. In the days of perjury trials or "Witch hunts" as one might call them, against professional athletes, it is scary to think how many professional athletes may be the next targets of the Feds, because of a bust of this nature.

Today, Roger Clemens is expected to face lead investigator John Longmire of the FBI at the federal courthouse in Washington. Barry bonds was just recently convicted on perjury charges due to the accusations of performance enhancing drugs. Are these the issues that we as Americans want to spend our tax dollars on? Do the majority of Americans really care if athletes use PED's? Personally I want to see tax dollars spent on educating our children, getting dangerous criminals off our streets, fixing our nations highways, and the plethora of other problems that need fixing.. There are so many more prevalent issues that need taking care of in the US today.

Americans want to see 100 mph plus fast balls, they want to see home runs smashed out of  ball parks, and bone crushing tackles on the grid iron. Do we realize there is no NFL with out PED's? Or at least the NFL we have all come to know and love. This is a question we all seriously need to think about. Do we continue going after athletes for the crime of bettering there careers, and their bodies, and giving us what we want to see? Or do we start fixing the real problems in this country?

TCP was a pretty well known compounding pharmacy in the world of sports. It is scary that certain people may need to worry that they legally obtained prescription drugs from their doctors, because of this witch hunt that is actively happening in America. This kind of thing will continue in this country, and it will only become more profound, if we continue to allow it to happen.

DEA and Florida Department of Health Bust Treasure Coast Pharmacy

Treasure Coast Pharmacy, a Florida compounding pharmacy was raided by DEA agents just before 9:00 AM Tuesday morning.Witnesses in the shopping center said they saw DEA Agents draw weapons, breach the front door and remove things from the premises.

DEA spokesman, David Melenkevitz, would only say that this was part of an ongoing federal investigation and no one was arrested as of  Tuesday.

An immediate suspension order, as it is called by the DEA was served to the pharmacy, preventing Treasure Coast from selling any and all controlled substances. The Florida Department of Health also stepped in issuing an emergency order to close the facility. Customers of the pharmacy have been advised to contact their doctors if they need a prescription filled.

Indiana Supreme Court Nullifies 4th Amendment

Well looky here loyal readers. The Indiana Supreme Court has taken it upon themselves to take away more rights granted to us by the Constitution of this great Nation. I have added a link that outlines our 4th amendment rights.

http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/data/constitution/amendment04/

May 14, 2011 - INDIANAPOLIS Indiana - Police Can Enter Your Home Without Warrant. Yes I will say it again, no warrant is required for Indiana police to enter your home and more states are looking to do the same. Police can enter your home for no reason at all, and residents cannot legally resist.

Overturning a common law dating back to the English Magna Carta of 1215, the Supreme Court of Indiana ruled that residents have no right to resist ILLEGAL police entry into their homes. In a 3-2 decision, Justice Steven David said if a police officer wants to enter your home for any reason, or no reason at all, Home owners cannot do anything to block the officers entry.

“We believe … a right to resist an unlawful police entry into a home is against public policy and is incompatible with modern Fourth Amendment jurisprudence,” David said.“We also find that allowing resistance unnecessarily escalates the level of violence and therefore the risk of injuries to all parties involved without preventing the arrest.”

The Justice says that an individual arrested following ILLEGAL entrance into a home can still post bond and has every opportunity to contest the illegal entry through the court system.

My question for you Loyal Reader is would you trust a court system who blatantly destroys our Constitutional Rights as Americans?

Something is wrong with this picture. "Huston we have a problem", or should I say "Indiana we have a problem".

Hoosiers I would hope you stand up and take back your rights granted to us by "The Constitution of the United States of America".

Four Arrested in Norwalk Steroid Bust

When a Norwalk home was raided on East Rocks Road early Thursday morning, police found marijuana, amphetamines, and steroids. Police also found the names of  two customers, and the supplier of the alleged drug dealer. Are police now going to go after the end users? Who knows, but it is something to think about for people involved in this community.

During the investigation two others called the alleged dealer wanting to purchase drugs. The detectives in the case arranged to meet the two and arrested them for purchasing a controlled substance.

The Target of the investigation Clinton Chizinski, 27, of 63 East Rocks Road was charged with manufacturing, and distribution, possession of more than 4 ounces of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $75,000.00.

John Musor, of  2 Quarter Mile Road, was charged with manufacturing, and distribution, illegal possession near a school, and possession of narcotics. Bond was set at $40,000.00

Once again drug dealers are involving themselves with steroids. We have seen this many times in past years, where dealers involved in recreational drugs are now getting involved with steroids. In my opinion the two don't mix. Steroids may be illegal, but they are in no way recreational drugs.

Rhode Island Police Departments Profit from GenSci Cash Seizure

Again we are seeing people and companies prosecuted for selling and marketing hormones in the US. Will we all be safer at night now that GenSci has been forced to pay outrageous fines? The United States, IMO, has gone over board with the investigations and prosecution of AAS and other bodybuilding hormones. How many bodybuilders have been known to kick in peoples doors or carjack innocent people for the next hormone fix? I think the money it takes to investigate and prosecute these victimless crimes would be better spent going after real drugs and real criminals. Lets get the crack dealers and murderers off our streets so we really will be safer in our homes and in our neighborhoods. For a cash strapped country like the United States, I think we would be better served going after the dangerous criminals who target and destroy the lives of our young children.

East Providence Police Department in Rhode Island  profit from 4.5 million dollar seizure taken in the prosecution of Chinese drug manufacturer Gene Science. East Providence is one of four police agencies in Rhode Island to profit from the seizure.

According to a news release from U.S. Attorney Peter F. Neronha, the agencies received between $270,00 and $900,000 fro their roles in the bust and prosecution of Gen Sci. Gen Sci Pharmaceutical Co. and it's Cheif Executive Officer were prosecuted for marketing human growth hormone in the United States, according to the release.

Updates From Securenym.net

I have received an update from securenym.net. The admin has promptly gotten back to me as usual. I say this because anytime I have emailed these wonderful people they have replied very timely. They are diligently trying to repair the problem with their mail storage system. I would assume as usual that they will have this problem fixed in a timely manner as well. So loyal readers, and securenym.net users here is the explanation:

SecureNym has been fighting gremlins in our IMAP mail storage system
for four days. The problem is made much worse by users who have
extremely large mailboxes. This is what is slowing message retrieval
to a crawl for all users.

We have been working on this problem around the clock, and each time
we think the issue has been resolved, it resurfaces. We have replaced
all the associated hard drives and subsequently the servers
themselves, yet the problems continue as soon as we attempt to
synchronize the message storage.

Tonight, we are segregating accounts by mailbox size, in an effort to
manually load balance our traffic. This process is normally
automated, but the failure of that function is the core of the problem.

We continue to work on a solution but, in the meantime, we feel that
the manual load balancing will help ease the bottleneck.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience we know this is causing
you. We WILL resolve the issue. Tomorrow we will once again replace
all of the disk drives associated with message storage.

Katy Perry on the Juice?

Katy Perry is famous for her curvy figure and she recently admitted to having a cocktail of vitamins, steroids and antibiotics injected into her bum to give it a lift.

She had the treatment when she was in India and experts say it's much more common in developing countries where few patients can afford more advanced - and expensive - surgical treatments.

The injections contain steroids, antibiotics and vitamin B, which cause inflammation and, as a result, lift the bottom.

The treatment is not available in the UK and Ravi Grover, Consultant Plastic Surgeon and President Elect of the the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, told the Daily Mail that it's best avoided.

He says: 'This cocktail, rather than lifting a saggy bottom, may trigger an inflammatory abscess, or the steroids will cause thinning of the skin."

Dr Aamer Kahn, a GP and cosmetic doctor who runs the Harley Street Skin Clinic, added:

"I would not touch this treatment.

"If antibiotics are injected into the body without good reason the bacteria in the gut can develop resistance to that antibiotic.

"This is how superbugs are formed. Conventional fat transfer by an experienced and qualified practitioner is a far superior and safer treatment."

Bonds Attorneys Asking For Acquittal or Schedule New Trial

Barry Bonds has been through the ringer with this obstruction of justice charge he was eventually charged with. Personally I wish the government in the US would spend their money on more important things, other than Bonds possibly lying about steroid use. Does anyone really care? Is it going to keep us safer at night now that Bonds is convicted? I think not, how ever I do think it has been a complete waste of money that the US does not seem to have.

Barry Bonds attorneys have filed a motion to have his obstruction of justice conviction reduced to an acquittal or schedule a new trial. A hearing is scheduled on July 1st to review the motion. Personally I am hoping for an acquittal.
